TextCan’t drive 55
Posted on September 9, 2013 by admin
It’s just another year…. but it’s 55! It really doesn’t feel like it, not sure what 55 is supposed to feel like though.
It’s been life changing this year as our family deals with cancer. My husband of 35 years was just diagnosed in March of 2013 with Glioblastoma Brain Cancer. You can read our story here. I began this year with such high hopes, this was going to be it. Everything was coming together in life and in my business, then whammo, it all came to a crashing halt on March 13, 2013 when Mike had a Grand Mal Seizure. This was our first major warning sign of our new life to come.~ I would not wish anything like this on my worst enemy.I’m learning how important the connections we’ve made in life come into play when we need them the most. We have been so blessed with support, through phone, emails, social media and the outpouring of love and healing energies have been felt every single day. We appreciate it so much and would not have been able to get to this point in our journey without it so thank you all so much. We’ve been overwhelmed with our situation at times but those of you that matter in our lives are always there when needed, my phone rings or my computer pings just at the right moment. This past month has been especially challenging and I’ve laughed and cried with so many old friends as well as meeting some amazing new friends too. You all have helped me get through this rough patch. Not sure if I’m out of it yet but I have high hopes for my birthday week. It’s always the best week of the year.My closest friends from high school, another one of my oldest long time friends, we’ve known each other since we were 5 and a high school friend that I’ve developed a wonderful relationship with over the last several years through Social Media and Iowa visits (usually involving many glasses of wine). These amazing women are putting together a Bad Ass party for us to celebrate the years that we’ve all known each other and to celebrate in style. If you’ll be in the Des Moines area on October 12th, I invite you to join us to celebrate with us that night. We have an awesome musical act at one of the best local Eastside Des Moines restaurants, Bianchi’s Hilltop Restaurant and Lounge, E 29th and Hubbell Ave in Des Moines. We hope you can join us.I do believe that things happen for a reason, I haven’t quite figured out what mine is yet, but now at 55, I feel confident that I have a lot of years ahead of me and I a little bit of time to figure out what I want to be when I grow up. I do feel I’m getting close!Every Birthday year gets better and better with Social Media, the energy really gets flowing with so many well wishes! I’m thanking you all in advance for those you are sending my way nd I am not going to think about being 55. We’re as young as we feel.

TextHangouts… my cool new tool… #HOA #hangoutsonair
Posted on May 17, 2013 by admin
My blog is broken. I have to do some maintenance updates and I’ve had some medical issues with my hubby the last few months and I’ve gotten behind. With that as an excuse, I haven’t posted any content here in quite awhile. I can’t keep quiet about hangouts any longer. I’ll have to get busy and spruce this site up for me or try a new theme. In the meantime…I’m putting together a presentation on Google Hangouts On Air, a cool new tool for your business. We’re doing quite a few hangouts on air in preparation. If you haven’t joined us yet, you really should. If you have a Google+ account, it will be real easy for you to join in the fun.Google made some updates this week that made it easier for you to join but a little more hidden on how to start a Hangout On Air #HOA. That could be a good thing. It took me some time to figure it out last night so I did a quick 2 minute video on the process. hopefully this helps you out and saves you some creative time, enjoy!—–> http://youtu.be/DvCito8DNrc

TextGratitude!
Posted on December 2, 2012 by admin
Ok, I know I’m a little late for the traditional November gratitude post. For those of you that know me, I’m sure you’re not surprised. I’m always trying to cram 70 minutes into a 60 minute block so a gratitude post on December 2 is not out of line for me at all. That’s something that we should always embrace.November was a total blur for me. I’ve been juggling several different projects. I’m very close to having a client project finalized, should be as soon as today so I’m thrilled to be making that announcement soon.Windsor Co Cash MobI also spent a lot of time this month working on the Windsor Cash Mob project. This has been a special project for me over the last 10 months or so but one that I only had so much time to devote to. By not spending the time that was needed, I feel we lacked in participation at some of the events. So 11/10/12 was the day of our event, we had promoted through Social Media as well as snipits in our 2 local newspapers, the Windsor Beacon and the Windsor Now. Shortly before the event was to start, we were blessed with a Northern Colorado November snowstorm just hours before our special Cash Mob. We were supporting 5 small businesses this night but there was no one out on the streets, the roads were getting very slick, so we quickly decided to reschedule so the employees could get home safely. We chose 11/24/12, Small Business Saturday as our redo day. I had recently acquired some new business tools so I went on a crash course to learn them. I enlisted some help from my friend and partner in the Windsor Cash Mob, Roxanna Tyler, with Tyler Systems LLC and we put together a facebook contest and gathered some great prizes from a few local area businesses.I bought the domain name www.windsorcashmob.com. I used one of my new products QRslip to create a Dynamic Mobile Marketing Campaign. I spent way more time on this than I should have but I got a lot accomplished in a short amount of time. With QRslip, I created a free ad or a coupon for each business sponsor and set it up on a looping 1 minute schedule. Each ad was tapable/clickable and would lead the tapper/clicker to our Windsor Cash Mob facebook fanpage. It worked really slick, I’ll be using this campaign again when we start to promote our next Cash Mob in January 2013. I currently have an example of an ad/coupon posted on the Windsor Cash Mob site with a coupon that I am running for Market For Mobile. You can save 10% through 12/31/12 to schedule your own Dynamic Campaign (shameless plug).Because I can use this QR code over and over to lead the end user to current content, we were able to enlist the help and sponsorship of our local Mail n Copy Windsor and they provided us with 1000 business cards displaying our Dynamic QR as well as 50 posters that we were able to spread around town.www.WindsorCashMob.com
visit this site often for the latest Cash Mob Windsor news and for current local deals.
www.windsorcashmob.com
As a result of my haste to get this posted, I don’t have exact numbers but I can come within 1 or 2.Our results:We increased our facebook fan page by 21 likes, up to 137 fans and we had 12 entries in our local contest, only 11 were eligible as I disqualified myself. We had 7 prizes donated so the odds of winning were pretty good. Keep that in mind when you see facebook contests springing up. Do your due diligence to make sure it’s a legit contest and see how many cool prizes you may win.I am still trying to find the secret in getting the community to “want” to be involved. Come on Windsor CO! Let’s show the world what we’re made of and become an example of how communities can come together and support their local business base. If you are a Windsor CO resident, please share this blog post with your neighbors and local friends.Come and join our next mob event or follow us vicariously and share on facebook. Our next event will be in January, you’ll meet some awesome like-minded peeps and may find a unique one of a kind item that you will cherish for life in a local store that you’ve driven past a hundred times but never taken the time to visit. You could find your new favorite food at a locally owned restaurant. We did bring a few peeps in for our Special Mob event, I didn’t get a chance to meet everyone since we were spread out, up and down Main Street. We did attract some quality peeps to our project and that organic growth thing that I love so much, I think it’s about to happen for us.I am also very proud to announce that I wrote an essay on my Cash Mob Windsor project. This was through a facebook contest sponsored by The Bold Angels with Tina Williams and Trish Gilliam…. the Grand Prize was a trip to Marketer’s Mansion in Las Vegas, value $5,000. When I heard what this was about, I knew I had to go! and I WON!!!!!!!!! I actually came in 3rd but 1st and 2nd couldn’t make it, WTH??Tina and Trish have been working with me on a blueprint with our Social Media Certification class for my Cash Mob Windsor Project. So, now, I get to work with these 2 amazing ladies as well as some of the best in the online marketing industry on getting this project on the fast track and showing others how they can bring Cash Mobs to their community. It’s an awesome way to build relationships with the local market, create goodwill, promote shopping local and it can be the best way possible and bring quality leads into your business world. Here’s a link to the replay for that webinar, the first few minutes has a video of the mansion. We also have private chefs from the famous Las Vegas kitchens coming into cook for us, watch out diet!I did a promo video for Marketer’s Mansion, it is included in this special offer here. This is not my affiliate link, I haven’t figured out if I have one there or not. You can purchase a package with a live feed for the event, the starting price is $9.95, buy now before the price goes up. I’m not sure how many hours will be included, it sounds like this may be like Big Brother and there will be cameras all over the place, oh no!Holy Cow, I’ve got a lot of work ahead of me, it’s only just begun! For that, I am eternally grateful for everything that has happened this past year. I am grateful for my family and for putting up with the little attention that I’ve had for them over this past year during my business development. It’s recently been brought to my attention how focused I’ve been. I’m grateful for all of the incredible peeps that have played a role in this life adventure as well as the new peeps I’ve yet to meet!I’m dependent on all of you reading this to help me take this project to the next level. Share with your friends and family, connect with me if you want to learn how you can bring a Cash Mob to your community. Please join me!My business motto for 2012 was to Make A Difference. I am totally satisfied that I have completed that mission for this year and will continue on the same path. Next year, 2013 will be awesome!I feel it!!!!

Get To Know Your Customers

Hit your target market with relationship building
Your marketing efforts will be more productive if you can identify your target audience. By engaging with your current customer or client base, you will learn more about them by default. Ask them questions as to why they like your brand.
Word of Mouth referrals have always been important. Today, more than ever, your brand needs referrals to make it in this new economy. With the tools that are available today, you can really pinpoint your advertising through mobile and social platforms, many to choose from, your choices will be limited only by your time and/or your budget.Make that effort worth it, by fine tuning who is your target audience, focusing on your niche market you will hit more bullseyes.A couple of benefits should be more customers by providing what your customers want and need, you will find this out by asking. Less money spent on advertising by better utilizing the $$’s you are already spending as those ads become more effective for you.

Dixie Daly with Tickled Pink Book Signing at Charming Charlies Ft Collins 01/13/2012I’ve gotten out of the habit of blogging. I have a pretty good domain name here so we are adding the blog back onto the current “to do” list.Work That’s Fun? I could cover tons of topics with this name. I’m not sure if I had a clear meaning in my head of what I was trying to get across with my not so regular musings.Dixie Daly with Tickled Pink and friends, Book Signing at Charming Charlies Ft Collins 01/13/2012
Originally, I think I meant being self-employed, no boss, no set hours, attending networking events, scheduling business trips and just going. All the fun stuff!
I’ve become involved with many different types of “work that’s fun” over the years and I do a good job with the fun part, the social, the helping friends out in whatever way I can. Because of that, I’ve developed some really great friendships with a lot of incredible peeps all over the world, which makes work incredible and oh so grateful for all of them. With the power of Social Media, I’ve been able to enhance those friendships with many as well as to re-connect with those from my past. I love sharing funny and interesting things with all of them as well as making connections and introducing like-minds, so sharing each other from one avenue of my life with another.A few events have happened in my personal life this summer that has resulted in some deep reflections as well as a lot of tears over losing a friend that was a big part of our local networking community and another dear friend that is having to give up her truly loved business due to health challenges. If we want to make a difference in the lives of others, we have to play a part, any part and even baby steps count.Do what you can do.I need to focus my efforts on some new and different types of work as I grow my Social/Mobile Marketing business. Helping local businesses to engage with their community through social and mobile platforms is my tagline. I’m passionate about doing that and truly love all of the small business owners that I’ve worked with so far.I’ve learned more than I ever thought possible over the last year and at times, seemed like a huge learning curve. Lots of things took 8 X longer than I thought it would. One of the most important lessons that I’ve learned these past few months is that I don’t have to do it all myself and we all have the same 24 hours in a day, it’s what you do with it that matters most. We need to balance our life and devote time to family and friends and what’s really important to us, that’s where the magic can happen if you let it.Look for some completed projects coming up soon. It’s time to get serious about work that’s fun. Vicki~p.s. I do need to learn more about wordpress and not be afraid of it.Posted in Market For Mobile, Networking GroupsTagged Blogging, Cash Mob Loveland Co Windsor Co Local Business marketing, Dixie Daly, Get Your Women On, networking, Northern Colorado Women In Business, Social Media, Tickled Pink

Cash Mob Local
Posted on February 18, 2012 by admin
Cash Mob February 11, 2012 Anthology Book Co Loveland COWe are in the very beginning stages of a National Movement. Most of us have heard of Flash Mob’s that are popping up all over the place and dancing, but… Have you heard of the Cash MobCash Mob is an inspirational twist on the Flash Mob concept. A small local business is chosen as the event host. Mobbers arrive at a chosen location and set time and ready to do a little shopping with that local business. It’s amazing, the number of people that find out about this and show up for support.Cash Mob rules are not set in stone but there are some guidelines. When you choose to participate in a Cash Mob, you are pledging to spend around $20 or more at the selected small local business. It’s an infusion of cash into your community by supporting the Cash Mob Movement. Sometimes there will be an aftermob event. All mobbers will then be invited to meet at a local restaurant or watering hole. The Cash Mob concept is primarily being promoted and organized through Social Media right now. There have been several local news stations that have covered a Cash Mob local event so the word is quickly getting out.Wondering what type of business would make a good Cash Mob Host? A Cash Mob host businesses should have/be:Items priced less than $20
Items for men and women
Locally owned
One that gives back to the community.
I see Cash Mobs becoming very popular. Cash mobs enable making friends and building community. Mobbers, along with the business owners and staff, are connecting on Social Media and then through the Cash Mob are meeting face to face. The businesses that are getting involved are also seeing some repeat business due to their Cash Mob experience. It’s a win-win for any community. Look for Cash Mob Windsor CO to be announced soon!
P.S. I just learned that 3/24 is National Cash Mob DayP.S.S. Please connect with our facebook fan page here and follow us on twitter here.Posted in Market For Mobile, UncategorizedTagged Cash Mob Loveland Co Windsor Co Local Business marketing

QR Code 101
Posted on January 28, 2012 by admin
What are these funny little black and white, pixelated looking square things that you keep seeing all over the place? What do they do? What are they for? Why in the world would I want one and what would I do with it if I had one? In case you haven’t seen one, this is mine.
QR Code 101 Example #1
QR Code to Market For Mobile . mobi website
This will take you to my MarketForMobile.mobi website.
This is called a QR code, QR is short for Quick Response. Another name for these are 2D barcodes, but QR code is the standard name. You can only access a QR code by scanning with a mobile device, re: Smartphone, iPhone®, iPad®, Android™, Tablet, etc. We all know how many are out there and the numbers are growing, pretty darn fast too. There are several scanner apps out on the market today. The one I use is called Red Laser, I like how it keeps a history of the things I’ve scanned for easy access at a later date.QR codes are appearing more and more frequently. Marketers are seeing the useful value of a QR code and there are many uses. You can use them to build mailing lists, create text messaging campaigns, direct customers to a certain URL, your website or maybe even your facebook fanpage. You can also load all of your contact info, as well as a short message, and someone can scan your info into their mobile device with the scanner app of their choosing. The QR code was created by Toyota subsidiary Denso Wave in 1994 to track vehicles during the manufacturing process, the QR code is one of the most popular types of two-dimensional barcodes. Now we see them used on business cards, newspapers and magazines, storefront windows or counters, restaurant menus and even on social media sites. How many times do you have your cell phone with you while at your desktop or laptop? If all you (or your prospective customer) has to do is scan a code with your mobile phone, you may be more apt to visit that website, you do want to make sure that wherever you are sending them, is a mobile optimized site. More on that subject later.QR codes can be incredibly useful and they are very cost-effective to implement. There are several free services out there that will generate a QR code for you so it’s very easy to get started. With Market For Mobile, we do have a program available that allows us to generate a QR code for you at a reasonable price. We also offer a couple of optional services. One is monthly reporting, making it easier for you to track your ROI as well as the ability to redirect where that QR code will take the end user. All signs and stats are pointing to this trend continuing for the next several years. As awareness of QR codes spread, and the mobile usage stats increase, this may be something you will want to add soon for your business.Market For Mobile Logo

Mobile Marketing is in my Future
Posted on December 12, 2011 by admin
I’ve been so busy the last few weeks, I feel like I’m in college this month. I’ve been taking some online courses in Mobile Marketing. I’ll be sharing a few things with you along the way. I’m still trying to decide what all services to offer. This next referral offer comes from a friend of mine.
I recently stumbled across {http://MobileCrossChannelMojo.com} , which is a website that is offering information and a Bonus video on how to build Mobile Apps for the iPhone, iPad and Android. The site explains some information about Mobile Apps and how it can compliment anyone’s business who may be considering investing in the Cross Channel Mojo system.Mike Koenigs’ Cross Channel Mojo system is a patented and advanced marketing system that simply can’t be described fully in this post. You have to experience it to understand the powerful follow up capabilities and reach this thing has to offer! As a Bonus, the Dudes at Mobile Apps Labs have cooked up some Mojo of their own and are offering a sweet Bonus that will compliment Cross Channel Mojo!Let’s face it.It’s almost impossible to get and keep the
attention of your prospects and customers.
See what I mean in this video:To sell anything to a prospect, you need to:– get attention
– keep attention
– build rapport, trust and likability
– and present an offer
But the rules have ALL changed – and
we’ve moved from a “transaction” economy
to a “relationship and reputation” economy.
Mike Koenigs has been a successful
online marketer for over seven years,
creating some of the most powerful tools,
systems and training programs including
Traffic Geyser, Main Street Marketing
Machines and many others.
People like Tony Robbins, Paula Abdul,
Tim Ferriss, Harvey Mackay, Brendon
Burchard, Debbie Ford, Brian Tracy, John
Assaraf come to him for online, video and
mobile marketing advice.
Mike has worked with big brands like Apple,
Sony Entertainment, 20th Century Fox, 3M,
General Mills, Dominos Pizza, BMW, Ralston
and Mazda.
Watch this first video in the free series
he’s giving you.
{http://www.crosschannelmojo.com/cmd.php?af=1032122}You’re going to discover how to automatically
build PROFITABLE relationships with clients.
And it doesn’t have to just be sending
emails that HOPEFULLY get read.
The news is blaring about the economy
and how terrible things are for businesses.
And most of it’s true.Especially if you aren’t adapting. In Mike’s video, you’re going to discover
what adapting means in today’s
“relationship-based economy.”
{http://www.crosschannelmojo.com/cmd.php?af=1032122}He breaks marketing technology down
for you, explains how much blood, sweat
and tears (and hard-earned dollars) he’s
put into creating this, and let’s you know
EXACTLY how to use this info to your
advantage.
Listen, the online “gurus” are always
telling you HOW to make money.
But this is drastically different.Mike shows you what needs to take
place so that people WANT to give you
their money in the first place.
The approach uses several different
communications channels, and it doesn’t
matter your niche.
All that DOES matter is that you’re
creating a relationship with people who
want to buy from you.
Check this out to see how it happens
AUTOMATICALLY.

Christmas 2011 – Birth of a New Tradition
Posted on November 5, 2011 by admin
I know blog posts are supposed to be short but I’m going to make an exception with this one. I’ll try to condense the basic idea but will follow with the whole story for those that may want to read further. Our country is in pretty bad shape right now and we don’t seem to have many leaders in either political party that are close with a solution.
What can we do to help that provides positive energy to the earth? This requires very little effort, if any at all. Just a little bit of a mindshift is required. This email came to me a few days ago and it really touched my heart. I don’t know the author so I can’t give them any credit but I really have to share it. Since I’ve become involved with TCA I’ve become more aware of the impact of shopping local and the good that it brings to the community. I’ve gotten to know many small business owners on a deeper level here in the Northern Colorado area and I know how much they are struggling in this economy. We need to stop driving so far to save a buck or two at the big box stores when we could walk, or not drive far, to a local business. We’re using less fuel and putting our money back to work in the community. It might even cost you less after you consider how much you just spent on that tank of gas. Here’s the email in full, with only a few revisions…. enjoy and Happy Upcoming Holidays to everyone…..What goes around, comes around ~Christmas 2011 — Birth of a New TraditionAs the holidays approach, the giant Asian factories are kicking into high gear to provide Americans with monstrous piles of cheaply produced goods –merchandise that has been produced at the expense of American labor. This year will be different. This year Americans will give the gift of genuine concern for other Americans. There is no longer an excuse that, at gift giving time, nothing can be found that is produced by American hands. Yes there is!It’s time to think outside the box, people. Who says a gift needs to fit in a shirt box, wrapped in Chinese produced wrapping paper? Everyone — yes EVERYONE gets their hair cut. How about a gift certificate from your local American hair salon or barber?Gym membership? It’s appropriate for all ages who are thinking about some health improvement.Who wouldn’t appreciate getting their car detailed? Small, American owned detail shops and car washes would love to sell you a gift certificate or a book of gift certificates. Are you one of those extravagant givers who think nothing of plunking down the Benjamin’s on a Chinese made flat-screen? Perhaps that grateful gift receiver would like his driveway sealed, or lawn mowed for the summer, or driveway plowed all winter, or games at the local golf course. There are a bazillion owner-run restaurants — all offering gift certificates. And, if your intended isn’t the fancy eatery sort, what about a half dozen breakfasts at the local breakfast joint. Remember, folks this isn’t about big National chains — this is about supporting your home town Americans with their financial lives on the line to keep their doors open. How many people couldn’t use an oil change for their car, truck or motorcycle , done at a shop run by the American working guy?Thinking about a heartfelt gift for mom? Mom would LOVE the services of a local cleaning lady for a day.My computer could use a tune-up, and I KNOW I can find some young guy who is struggling to get his repair business up and running.OK, you were looking for something more personal. Local crafts people spin their own wool and knit them into scarves. They make jewelry, and pottery and beautiful wooden boxes.Plan your holiday outings at local, owner operated restaurants and leave your server a nice tip. And, how about going out to see a play or ballet at your hometown theatre.Musicians need love too, so find a venue showcasing local bands.Honestly, people, do you REALLY need to buy another ten thousand Chinese lights for the house? When you buy a five dollar string of light, about fifty cents stays in the community. If you have those kinds of bucks to burn, leave the mailman, trash guy or babysitter a nice BIG tip.You see, Christmas is no longer about draining American pockets so that China can build another glittering city. Christmas is now about caring about US, encouraging American small businesses to keep plugging away to follow their dreams. And, when we care about other Americans, we care about our communities, and the benefits come back to us in ways we couldn’t imagine.THIS is the new American Christmas tradition.Forward this to everyone on your mailing list — post it to discussion groups — throw up a post on Craigslist in the Rants and Raves section in your city — send it to the editor of your local paper and radio stations, and TV news departments. This is a revolution of caring about each other, and isn’t that what Christmas is about?Posted in Networking Groups, The Customer Advantage (TCA)Tagged Daily Deals, Free Advertising, Free Membership, group coupon the customer advantage deals saving money small medium local business Main Street America free advertising non-profit fund raiser fundraiser fundraising referral commission, Local Business, Northern Colorado Women In Business, TCA, The Customer Advantage, work from home MLM ebay online selling self employment social media business

Someone found my blog and was intrigued enough to send me a letter offering to help me with my project. I guess it’s pretty noticeable that I don’t know what I’m doing over here and probably could use lots of help, lol. I have such good intentions when it comes to blogging, I don’t know why I’m resisting it so much. Once I finish a post I’m usually pleased with it.anyway…. while the letter did sound a bit on the spammy side, I kind of liked it. His website has a portfolio on some of the work he’s done and it looks impressive. Maybe the reason he reached out to me was so that I could present TCA to him. I really liked my response back to him and since we are truly looking for talented leaders I’m going to post my exact response for anyone who is lucky enough to stumble upon this blog and see the true value of what I have to offer here.please like me on facebookHi Daniel, I’m working with a company called The Customer Advantage. We are a free membership program, in soft launch while we ramp up. We just added an RX card benefit that is free, it offers a savings on prescriptions as well as some lab and imaging tests. Our primary benefit is a Daily Deals program that pays a 5% affiliate referral anytime someone you refer buys a deal saving them 50% or more. That referral amount comes from up to 5 levels deep, all qualified levels are paid. During our ramp up, we’re currently looking for leaders that want to step up, partner with TCA and offer our Free Membership to local businesses in their area. You can earn up to a 3% commission on all deals sold by the businesses you sign up as well as earning that 5% commission when those you refer buy. You would be one of the first in the country to be involved. It’s not going to be easy but could be lucrative. Our businesses (and non-profits) that we sign up are needing website work. I’ve signed up 2 businesses in the last week that don’t even have websites. There is a big need for the type of services you offer with the small to medium local businesses that are embracing this grassroots effort. They are wanting to learn more about social media so they can promote their own deals and enroll their customers into the TCA membership. That business owner will then earn a commission when their customers shop with TCA.This would be a great way to market your current business and spread the word about TCA and get tons of referrals from those that you engage ; ) You could even come up with some sort of a 1/2 price deal for a basic package just to introduce yourself to them and get your foot in the door. You may get a customer for life out of the deal and that’s what it’s all about ; )Not sure how close you are to Sarasota FL but that is one of 8 test launch areas in the US so we’ve already got a small customer/business base growing in that area. Most likely, if you are what you say you are, the leaders in that area will have some businesses to refer to you also.If you’re truly interested in helping people this could be your vehicle. Here’s my affiliate link, check it out. It truly is a free opportunity for you, no matter what level you choose to participate.www.vicki.thecustomeradvantage.comtake care… VickiPosted in The Customer Advantage (TCA)Tagged Daily Deals, Free Advertising, Free Membership, group coupon the customer advantage deals saving money small medium local business Main Street America free advertising non-profit fund raiser fundraiser fundraising referral commission, networking, Non profits, Promotional Director, Social Media, TCA, The Customer Advantage, work from home MLM ebay online selling self employment social media business

Reading Instructions
Posted on September 4, 2011 by admin
I’m finding that if I wait to take the time to read instructions on things, I’m just not getting to them. I tried reading them on what I’m about to do but they weren’t exactly clear. I’m trying to add a facebook like button that references my new TCA fanpage but I’m not exactly sure where it’s going to add it or if it will? Preview is not showing it? I’m just going to go ahead and post the code right here on this blog post and see what happens.

I just returned from experiencing my 3rdClub Sea Breeze/Balansera “Condo Vacation” in less than a year. I live in the beautiful state of Colorado and we have some incredible properties available at very low pricing during the off season. I’m learning that in the ski towns, it’s technically called the Mud Season, great time to visit these towns, no crowds.
I’ve only been a Colorado resident for 12 years but Colorado was always our #1 vacation spot. With gas closing in on $4 a gallon, I really appreciate my Balansara membership. I can take advantage of the very low weekly condo deals and visit many different, beautiful areas of my state while promoting my business.our Steamboat Condo, October 2010
Steamboat Springs, CO, October 2010
So far I have booked 3 different 6 person – 2 bedroom condos and my total cost each week was $299. My weeks have been spent at the Wyndham in Steamboat, Rams Horn Village in Estes Park and last week, French Ridge Condos in Breckenridge. What incredible value at all 3 places, all in awesome little towns.
Rams Horn Village, Estes Park CO. December 2010
Balansera will be launching soon, they are offering ½ price memberships until June 1, 2011. I look forward to learning about the new pieces that have been added into our program, Nutritional Health and Fitness Coaching, Lifestyle Coaching, Financial Planning and our Saver’s Guide. I’m also struggling to decide where I want to spend my BOGO 7 day cruise. I guess I shouldn’t stress over that decision since I will get one every year with my continued membership.
Let me know if you want to know the details. How does it get any better than this?French Ridge Condos, Breckenridge CO. Interior shot of the downstairs living area

Hadn’t posted in more than a week, didn’t get any response from the Craigslist ad. If the TCA
www.vicki.thecustomeradvantage.comwebsite stats in the back office are right, then I only had 1 hit from Craigslist. I wanted to come up with a shorter ad, easier on the eye, easier to read, less words. Main Street AmericaThis morning, I was on my way to a facial massage, I’m trying to find a local spa business that is wanting to be a part of The Customer Advantage team. By doing this research, my massage was tax-deductible. Don’t you love it! Anyway, I was listening to the Daily Call on my way there and I got the idea for this. I really like it and I think I may use this message on my business cards.T C A ~ It’s a win-win-winSomeone you share it with saves 50% or more

I need to take my own advice
Posted on November 10, 2010 by admin
I’ve had it on my “to do” list to update my blog for the last 2 months, why haven’t I done it? I just re-read my Just Do It post and read all the blah, blah, blah about posting once or twice a week and I’m going to do better and all that jazz.
I think I think too much sometimes. Trying to come up with the exact words to say. Will anyone read this, will it make a difference in anyone’s life, etc. I guess if nobody reads it then it doesn’t really matter what I come up with to say, right?I’m not going to make any promises to do better this time since it’s been almost 3 months since my last post. I will say that I’ve been going through some incredible changes in my life over the last several months. Some of you that know me well may have noticed. There’s really something to this weird energy work ; )I really, really, really do, did I say really enough times? I really do want to share what I’m doing with so many other people. This is different though. I can only share if you are open to receive. I’m not exactly sure what I’m doing yet but it’s giving my blog name a lot more meaning. I wasn’t thrilled with the blog name in the beginning but there must have been some reason why I chose it.Let’s Play… stay tuned….

Glad I learned how to drive in Iowa
Posted on August 16, 2010 by admin
I really wanted my first blog back from convention to be all about the Melaleuca convention that I just attended.. What an awesome convention it was, by the way. I will tell you about some of the highlights in a later post. Sorry in advance for this long post but I think this one deserves it.
Today I want to share my life changing experience with you that happened on my trip home. I woke up early yesterday morning, August 15, 2010, with the beginnings of a migraine. I knew I had a 7 hour drive home but I just wanted to sleep. I took a couple of CounterAct Pain Tablets and laid back down for a few minutes.I woke up at 10 am, so much for an early start but I felt a little better. I headed out, stopped to get something to eat but didn’t have much of an appetite yet. After 3 hours on the road I was feeling sick and tired again. I pulled over at a rest stop to close my eyes for a few minutes. It started getting hot in the car so I got out, refreshed a little and got back on my way.A half hour later I caught myself resting my eyes while driving. You can’t do that, I yelled at myself. Thought about getting off again but it had only been 1/2 hour so turned the air up full blast, put in a Buckcherry CD and continued on.Next thing I know I’m feeling the rumble strips and CRASH!!!!! I’m now wide awake on the left side of the road, not sure what I hit but I’m spinning around and facing the car behind me. Holy Crap…. All I’m thinking about is getting the car under control and hoping that the guy behind me is paying attention and doesn’t hit me.I’m not sure if I spun all the way around or back around the same way but I was able to face forward again, regain control and pulled over to the shoulder of I-80. The guy behind me kept on going. I’m trying to dial 911 to report and my hands were shaking so bad I was having a hard time with that.A guy pulling a boat pulled off and came up and asked if I was all right. He couldn’t believe what he had seen and that I had pulled it out and not flipped off the road. I told him that it looked pretty scary from my vantage point too and that I couldn’t believe I was ok. I guess learning how to drive in Iowa winters paid off for me.Now the moment of truth, what did I do to the car, since I didn’t kill myself, Mike is gonna kill me…. I was 1 mile from the Green River WY exit, still had 300 miles to go. I knew that my driver side mirror was gone and I figured I had hit the guard rail or something and my whole left side would be a mess. I figured I had to have at least a flat tire or two. I got out of the car and other than the smell of burning rubber and my broken mirror there was no other signs of what had happened, unbelievable.A guy and his daughter, out for a ride on his Harley, had stopped on the frontage road and he yelled over to see if I needed help. I ran down to talk with him telling him that someone was watching out for me, He said he knew who. He was a youth minister at a local church there. We had a great conversation, he asked if he could say a prayer with me and I thought that under the circumstances, that sounded like a pretty good idea. What a meaningful prayer it was, I was so touched by the kindness of this stranger, I have tears running down my eyes now as I’m writing this. We exchanged contact information so that I could let him know that I arrived home safely. After about 25 minutes the Highway Patrol showed up. I told him my story and he’s just shaking his head. We didn’t have to fill out a report because there were no injuries and less than $1000 in damage. He told me that not too many people can lose control of a car at 75 mile an hour (it was actually closer to 80) and live to tell about it, let alone so little damage. My migraine was gone and I was wide awake the rest of the trip home. It was rather difficult changing lanes the rest of the way home but I made it home safe and sound. I broke out in tears when I pulled into my driveway. So thankful to be back. The theme at convention was Your Future Starts Now. I am taking that to heart because I was so close to losing my future yesterday.I love each and every one of you reading this. No matter what you are doing in your life, just take a moment to reflect on how fast it can be taken away from you. I’m still trying to find what my purpose in life is but I know that I must be here for a reason. If you’re not making the most out of life you can begin today. Join me in the future, Our Futures Start Now ; )

Newfound energy

the Bent Fork
I can't believe what I just did
I had to fix it
I had to bend it back
I met some really awesome women last night by attending a Queen of Your Own Life Party, what a cool theme. A couple of networking friends were planning to attend and the title of the party was intriguing, the invite said to bring a bottle of wine to share. Sounded like a great idea for a Saturday night while my hubby was working.
Wow, is all I can say. Somehow our conversation turned to energy in the universe and then they were talking about bending silverware and woo-woo stuff like that. I’ve had a hard time believing in all of that and wasn’t really paying a lot of attention but everyone was doing it so I didn’t want to be a party pooper and had to give it a try. One by one they all started bending their knives and forks. I saw it with my own eyes and my fork was just as rigid as it was when I started. I really wanted it to happen for me but I figured that my mind wouldn’t let it, then all of a sudden it bent, I was shocked.I’m still not sure how I did it but I can’t wait to get together with this group of women again. The energy in the room was incredible and I do want to tap into that. It may be weird but I think there’s something to it.Thank you to Tamara Younker, Ronda Wada, Joan Eurich, Karen Fritz, Deberah Bringelson and Katie English for making me feel so welcome and providing some well needed girlfriend time. You are all incredible women. If you want to be successful you need to surround yourself with successful people. The crowd you hang with really effects your life, more than you know.
